Flame retardant welding helmet hoods
The helmet hood provides more extensive protection than a standard welding cap. A helmet hood not only covers the head but also part of the shoulders, which is essential for keeping welding spatter out of the welding jacket. For optimal protection, the helmet hood can be worn over the welding jacket. Weldas also offers an extra-long version that provides even more shoulder coverage. Made from 305 g/m² flame-retardant cotton, this helmet hood meets the EN 11611 standard, Class 1. Weldas also offers a leather helmet hood that provides Class 2 protection according to the EN 11611 standard. This helmet hood combines black split leather with 520 g/m² flame-retardant gray cotton from the Arc Knight® line.
The helmet hoods are equipped with a Velcro closure under the chin for safety and convenience. In addition, the flame-retardant cotton helmet hood can be easily attached to a welding helmet using the convenient Velcro strips. This allows the helmet and hood to be removed in one motion without directly touching the hood, increasing user-friendliness during welding.
